Thanks for the upload--brings back all sorts of memories.

@firefoolproductions No, he didn't, dear. He wasn't allowed to. Which is probably why this talented, complex man died at a relatively young age of a heart attack. Like other gay performers of his era Paul was forced to stay in the closet not just to protect his career but to keep from being arrested or run out of town--even though his gayness was an industry open secret. I'm sure he would have loved-- just once, at least --to shout it from the rooftops.

@ebf1957 Actually his name is Bruce Valanch or something close to it. Barbara Eden is not neckless.
-
Are you kidding me, everybody knew he was gay, he just didn't shout it from a roof top like everybody does now.

30 yrs ago yes he got away with what he said ,but if Hollywood Squares was on today and if Paul Lynde was alive today as well, and had said some of this sh.. today every organization out there would be offended and want the show off the air.

I always liked his keen wit.

@BlondeBardie Roger was actually patterned from Paul Lynde as a kind of "tribute" by the writers... Strangely, Paul patterned himself after another comedian (female) named Alice Ghostly.
