what are the best mac applications?

trying to make the most out of my new beautiful 15" macbook pro. what are some of the best applications for fun? productivity? music? preferably free or low-cost, but i'd love to hear your favorite apps!

Adium is really good for all forms of chat (AIM, GChat, etc.). I prefer it to iChat.

Three small tools that come in handy for me a lot are Caffeine, which keeps your screen from dimming if you don't touch it for a while (while you watch a video or something), InsomniaX, to keep your computer running when you close the screen (for long downloads, etc.), and SelfControl, which lets you prevent yourself from accessing distracting websites during a specified period of time.

I just installed Mac OS Lion on my HP/PC and it works great. I have a Hackintosh PC. I now have Windows , Linux Mint OS , and Mac OS all installed on my HP/PC gaming computer. Mac OS isn't bad but I like Windows better I think .

I was just about to recommend Adium, but someone else did it first xD Congrats on the mac :) I'll be getting a new one sooooon too :) Mine is old.
