Embassies bring a bit of their home country to Washington D.C. and in the Egyptian embassy's case, that's a room full of rare and ancient artifacts. Ambassador Sameh Shoukry and his wife Suzy recently created a mini-museum in their Massachusetts Avenue residence and TBD's Sara Kenigsberg got a first-hand look.

Members from Egypt's Supreme Council of Antiquities came to D.C. to help with the restoration of the artifacts. While it's not a completely public museum, there are periodic tours of the residence. Go to http://www.egyptembassy.net/ for more information.
