Bahrain 2009 Video 11

I took this video while walking around the Tree Of Life ( Shajarat al-Hayah) in Bahrain. It's 1.2 Miles away from Jebel Dukhan. The tree is a four century (400 years) old mesquite tree which survives in the midst of the desert. The Mystery of the survival of the tree has made it a legend. People from all over the Middle East and the world make it a point to visit this place to see the magic of nature. The local inhabitants believe that this was the actual location of the Garden of Eden.

I had no idea they were doing military maneuvers with tanks that day right across the street. As you can see about half way through the video to the left hand side. I assume it was the Bahrain military.

looks like they started excavations around the tree now ,...

i must say that

i felt ashamed by the tourists that had to climb up the old tree and others that had to leave their nametags or other stuff on the branches .

but i love the iceman in his little van just in front of the tree , very good businessidea.
