This is a collection of my 2009 summer and fall kayak fishing exploits in my Malibu Stealth 14. Most of the photo stills and video were shot on and around various waters in the state of New York including Hemlock Lake, Honeoye Lake, Lake Ontario, Lake Champlain, and various out of the way locations.

  • hello, I have to ask, do you find the kayak being stable for ocean kayaking even though you are a bit "top" heavy? I'm XXL sized to and will soon buy a Hobie or Ocean kayak for fishing..

  • @19leon73 It's great. As of this season, I've fished miles out into Lake Ontario and some pretty good waves. Not once have I had any concern about tipping over.

  • 2:34 is a gobey there in lake ontario they kill the bass ur supposte to kill em

  • @Xferrari100X I knew what it was and took care of it. It's incredible how aggressive they are. Do you kayak fish?

  • Great video, hows the fishing this summer?

  • @poprocz Excellent, but it seems the weather has not cooperated with my free time as well as it had last year...

  • Well I broke down and bought the Malibu Stealth-14 and a Stealth-9 for my daughter. Our maden voyage will be this Sunday weather permitting. Can't wait !!

  • I'm 290lbs. What other yaks did you try. I can try any that I'm leaning towards so your input much needed. Thanx. Please please reply

  • Awesome Dude! It's nice to see XXXL guys on the water in a yak! I just got me a yak and loving it!!! Tight Lines!

  • How much does this run

  • You look like Craig from Malcolm in the middle. Nice yak

  • AWESOME!!! Man I'm looking at this one and the x-factor!!! I'm so jealous

  • @HookedUpFishinTv Stealth 14 is super stable, it has the black platform in the middle so that you can stand and fish. Speed is good because its 14 ft long, not an expert but i think longer means speed or better tracking. Its big and heavy but once you get up to speed it tracks nice. Also it is NOT a flat bottom kayak, it has grooves on the bottom parallel with the yak so it tracks well. Down side to being not flat is no good spot to put a transducer for fish finder but its not impossible.

  • Love the video!!! Good footage I'm about to buy my first I'm stuck between the wilderness systems ride135 and the Malibu stealth 14 I see your a big guy I'm 5'11" 220lbs I'm looking for a yak that's stable but yea kinda fast how's the stealth workin for ya?

  • almost makes me want to kayak fish ;) Great vid! Stripers soon!

  • Any good kayak lakes you might suggest for a beginner? Gonna get my first kayak for the summer
