I can see now why there could be a good possibility as to why this 3rd Ghostbusters movie is not being made. The first 2 films were really good and both are a huge classic. If you look at most movies that have had a 3rd film, mostly every time those 3rd films suck, such as Robocop 3, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3, Home Alone 3, Terminator 3. Follow me? And plus it was just reported today that Bill Murray said he will not be doing Ghostbusters 3 so lets face it, there will not be a 3rd film.

Bill read the script, tore it up, sent it back with a note saying "no one wants to watch 4 old fat guys running around chasing ghosts"..... wow.....

Someone should tell him, people want another movie..

GB3 would have to be a "passing of the torch" movie in which we're introduced to a new generation of 'Busters as the original actors are quite old now.

my kids are all under the age of 6 and they love the ghostbusters movies there is a lot of kids in this world that would love to see a gb3 movie not alone the adults that would give an arm and a leg to see it to.................

It is great to here people mock gb3 but what you fail to see is the real fact on what the real out come would be i and woul millions of people would love to see gb3 ratheir its good our not its still would be a legeondary film to play in movie plexes i would say that it would be the biggest movie to hit even bigger than harry potter and twilight and any other hit film in are generation..............this is going to be bigger than harry potter!!!!!!!!!! and twilight....

Bill Murray doesnt need to read the script. He'll justt show up on the first day of filming and say, "Hi guys."
