Happy Birthday Jesus - Christmas Coloring Sheet for Preschool Children

In this video I demonstrate the coloring page and explain how I used with preschoolers. I start by asking the children what kind of things they do when it is someone's birthday. Then we talk about Jesus and how we celebrate his birthday at Christmas time. I remind the children that Jesus is special because he is God's Son. Then I pass out the christmas coloring sheets and let them begin.

As they color, I usually color along with them and talk about their favorite colors. I remind them that it was God who invented all the colors. As we finish up the coloring page, we sing happy birthday Jesus.

This simple craft is a wonderful way to remind the children about the importance of Jesus at Christmas time. Enjoy this advent activity with your preschool child.
