@sonia4025 In this performance she really throws herself at that blackheart, and it's heartbreaking. We're the witnesses to heartbreak made into art. Few performers bring it all to the stage. No wall between her feelings and us. And no way to thank her now.
Something I have wished is that Amy had covered "What I Did For Love" from A Chorus Line. Can you imagine?

@uItravioIet Really well said, about Piaf and Holiday. That you saw this when she was still alive is a credit to your ears and heart. My fave version though is the Orange Lounge one--less adorned, simpler. But my goddess what a voice.

Yes, we always loved Amy as person and her voice! Amy loved Blake too much. It was a toxic love, not reciprocated the same force. She sing ..." Though I'm rather blind, Love is a fate resigned, Memoris mar my mind - Love is a fate resigned " and LOVE IS A LOSING GAME ........

dinah washington, sarah vaughan billy holliday, amy winehouse, great singer, great tonal vocabulary. will take some time before she is given the right seat amongst the best ever singers.

I'm so glad to hear someone else say it for a change. I love Amy Winehouse exactly as she is. She may be a walking disaster, but that just makes me love her even more. The amazing thing is that she's been through so many hard times but still manages to be a completely brilliant artist. She's in the same class as Edith Piaf and Billy Holiday.
