For one thing the whole Elenin/Planet Nibiru theory doesn't add up. Remember that Doomsday theory from the early 80's called the Jupiter Effect? That was when all of the solar systems planets were gonna line up on the far side of the sun and the combined gravitational pull was gonna tear the surface off of the planet. Except it didn't happen. This is significant because all that Elenin related mayhem, like the Japanese and Christchurch earthquakes were supposed to be caused by Elenin's alignments with the Sun. Even though Elenin was 93 million miles out, it's gravitation was supposed to be so great that the alignment was supposed to act like a gravity lens and pulled the earth's crust out of joint. As we have seen through the Jupiter Effect planetary alignments don't generate that kind of pull. If Elenin was really that powerful we'd notice more general earth disturbances, with some spikes during alignments. As it is there weren't even any unusual tidal activities reported.
