what a shame this didn't last - i haven't met anyone yet who hasn't enjoyed the show. Upstairs at the Gatehouse and ArtsEd London have both managed to stage it to great success - maybe studio theatre intimacy makes it work better???

it was the biggest joke in the world when this didn't last. it makes me so sad because i want to go see it again. and then again again. ah, the world! the world the world!

Well English people have a different sense of humor. Take Monty Python for example. Now I'm not saying I don't like Monty Python because I do (I have the whole collection lol), but they just have a different sense of humor. But I do see where yuo are coming from, because this literally is the funniest musical ever done! I have a shirt that says "my friends saw the funniest musical on Broadway and all I got was this drowsy t-shirt" lol
There still SHOULD BE a OLC Recording, regardless of whether or not the show was able to stay afloat or not!

Just saw it in Canada with Bob Martin as Man in Chair... it is by far one of the best musicals I have ever seen. Well written, well directed, well acted and sung... made me smile non-stop for 100 minutes. Sorry to hear that it didn't last in England.
