I love all series of Red Dwarf, but feel its a series plagued by a super-critical fan base whom nit-picked even the slightest flaw of the more later series.

I would rather watch any series of Red Dwarf than any British sci-fi shit they throw out today...which apart from Doctor Who...is practically nothing. And no, Outcasts was fucking crap, so that don't count. o_O

@commenter800 They have made a Series IX now (a mini-series called 'Back to Earth') and are going to begin filming a full half hour 6 episode Series X in November for an Autumn 2012 airing.

@TheHutchhickersGuide I had to check your age because I thought no one over the age of 24 would have said anything as ridiculous as that, and thankfully I'm right. Series 1 and 2 were superb for setting up the characters, series 3 was the best, 4 and 5 had some good stand out episodes, six regalvanised the series, but 7 and 8 were terrible..and if you think differently then you're the sort of cretin that found the Star Wars prequel trilogy "entertaining".
