Lagoon Amusement Park 2008

This is a great amusement park over here in Utah. I have season passes, so filming this video was nothing.

Trivia:

It took 2 days to film this, and countless hours of editing, mainly because I had to recover a bunch of lost footage, and I switched video editing programs halfway through.

If you look really closely you can see my camera strap fly into the shot at around 2:26-2:27.

While filming the shot of Wicked at 1:52, it was so windy my hat flew off and I had to run and grab it!

This might be the only Lagoon video on YouTube that features Lagoon-a-Beach footage.

It took nearly an hour to export this video in my editing program.

I edited this with Adobe Premiere.

My camera is an Aiptek $150 point-and-shoot I bought at Target.

At the beginning, I had to literally sit there and hold my arms forward, filming out of the window while my dad was driving. I was actually miles away from Lagoon.

For those of you who neglect to watch the credits, the song used is "High Fives" by Suburban Legends.

Yes, I really did run around the park and randomly point my camera at things.

One of the Jet Star ops got mad at me. I still got the footage though, it's at 0:26. He said "that I couldn't put Lagoon footage on YouTube" (which I knew was either a lie or a misunderstanding).

The other employees were pretty cool with it though.

Ok, first off I think Lagoon is an okay park, however, all the rides are baby like compared to Six Flags, Knott's, Universal Studios, Disney, etc.

They are thinking of building another coaster in 2 or 3 years. They have no clue what ride will be built next year.

Oh, and the new ride is called the "Jumping Dragon". It's a kiddie ride that's almost exactly like the "Musik Express". Ugh. We have enough Kiddie rides.haha. But they are thinking about building another rollercoaster for next year!!! So that's something to look forward too!
