are there two different ways of changing color? Can I do this pattern by changing the yarn color without the knotting?

First off, thank you so much for this great video! I am a beginner and was able to follow along very well. My only question is once I got to the end of my first row of shells I realized I had too many chains and single crochets. Is there anyway to fix this at this point? I saw your video on fixing too many foundational chains, but I wasn't sure what to do about the single crochet. Thanks in advance!!

@samsuninab You can cut the yarn at the farthest point, unravel and secure the yarn once you get to the edge. If it is just the chain, you may be able to sew the chain between the stitches.

I love this pattern. I have used and learned so much from your videos.I had not crochet for a very long time, I started looking for videos to re-learn how to crochet and your videos were the first ones I started watching. THANK YOU. I am goign to use this pattern to make a blanket for my oldest son. I used your video for the Katherine wheel to make a blanket for my daughter.
