  • @DarrenNLZC Except the entire time she played with Lenny Kravitz...

  • Cindy is the best female drummer I have ever seen hands down and no dough what so ever. I had the pleasure of attending one of her clinics. She signed my sticks which in an air tight plastic box. She is so technical and precise. She is really amazing!!

  • I love her solo performances, BUT - I prefer hearing her play small group stuff. She's amazing.

  • dirty hand chops tho! woo baby

  • so boring. Yep you can play the same thing very fast.

  • @Jay435 hey i mean this respectfully, but i grew into liking these kits and styles, after listening to drumers across the spectrum i admire these solos the most because they can quite frankly play the shit out of a four-peice and blow other drummers out of the water no matter how many drums the other guy has.

  • @Jay435 We both basically said the same thing. We agree on the setting the drumset should be used for. I'm just saying that when doing even a jazz based solo, it just sounds like garbage. She isn't pulling sounds from the drum, she's showing how fast she can do rudiments.

The solo she does in this video would sound much better on a different drumset.

I've been to jazz night clubs. I'm not getting that warm sound from this performance.

  • @AirmetalDrummer It's that jazz night club sound as opposed to a big high production sounding kit - two different things. One of the greatest drummers that ever lived, Jack DeJohnette, would have 2 bass drums - an 18" and a 20" and he would tune them to ring a little like the toms. A rock or metal drummer, for instance, would hate this sound. It's a back to roots sound and is great on an gig with acoustic piano and bass and a horn or two. Come to think of it,check out Jack when you get a chance

  • @TTfool78 or Terry Lynn Carrington

  • @TTfool78 Gotta check out Sheila E

  • OMG!!! I used to think I was good...until now!!!!!
