I love how humble he is in his interviews. Very real. He's not a writer for the title "writer," that's certain.

the lay of the land is a great book for a few people.

Independence Day is a classic. Ford is the best writer around.

I look forward to reading Lay of the Land, however, I have read Mr. Ford's 1995 Pulitzer-winning novel, Independence Day, and I heartily recommend this fine work to you. - rm
