This video is about the cover of Uncanny X-Men # 136 and Crisis on Infinite Earth #7. They look a little too similar.

  • That if you widen your view you might notice that both covers are inspired on Michelangel s "La Pieta", a sculpture that has more than 500 years.

  • @TheVetoSkreeemer good observation skills....I didn't learn about it until i did some research on La Pieta for art appreciation class.

  • Hummmmm, so Perez copy Byrne this time? Well pointed.

  • YEAH...X-Men came first in 1980...the C.I.E. cover was in 1985-1986

  • @sailorkeyblader Thanks for the comment, I guessed most people knew since the sculpture is so famous, it has been depicted on many comic covers, one example is the Final Crisis TPB where Superman holds Batman. Be well , and merry xmas to you.

  • dude why is it that superman and cyclops cry all the time!!! dont worry guys we will get you new chicks!!!

  • @sailorkeyblader There for DC copied from it, but there are other comics who have copied from this cover.

  • put them side by side (not 1 after another)

  • vary close
