Plying single ply into 2-ply. I used 100% pure alpaca fiber from a brown and white spotted alpaca.

  • i know this video isn't a how to for what i am asking, but i am going to ask it anyways because you are one of the few people who i sew replying to other viewers questions. when i am done spinning yarn (on a drop spindle) what do i do? i am supposed to soak it in lukewarm water and let it hang dry but it twists up all weirdly

  • @bebechicago

Sorry for the late reply - When you're hanging it up to dry it helps to put some kind of weight on the bottom of the yarn (a coat hanger, can of soup, anything that will stay put) so it doesn't get all twisted when it dries. Hope this helps!

  • What kind of wheel are you using here?

  • A Lendrum.

  • So sorry I only watched a few min into video. You have an unusual lazy kate. Is it tensioned?

    thank you so much,

grace who also loves to spin

  • It has a tension band, although I never use it.

    :)
