just out of curiosity, how do you get a fake dandelion? and doesn't regular dandelion cause stringhalt?

Is this condition painful to the horses? I can see it probably effecting the hoof over time because of the constant slamming down, but would there be anything else?

My friend's horse has exact same thing,but Only in one hind leg.

@emilybabesz1993 Eventually it can do through proper diet and nutrition but it can be a long road and no guarantees. I'd say our horse is much improved but still especially when it's cold and wet stumbles a bit.

@emilybabesz1993 Our horse has recovered, it took almost 1 year. Each horse is different in severity, recovery time, it is hard to predict. We were given estimates of 6-18 months. Not every horse recovers 100%. The nerve sheaths (axons) need to regrow, so supplementing with vitamin E is very helpful. I used a product called "Elevate". Which is liquid vitamin E that you pour over a bit of grain or oats. It gives them the building blocks to regrow the nerve sheaths to the back legs.
