Nice story! It looks a run against time for fun, but maybe time limit is making it even more exciting... Thanks for sharing.

Excellent job, I enjoyed watching it and I suddenly want to skip off work and hit the Credit River.

Loved it! You just tickled everyone's fantasy of playing hooky to fly fish. Great video... Fantastic editing! 5*

hey great video. i now want to learn how to fly fish. can you tell me about what would be best gear to use to catch carp. thanks

gosport,
A 6 or 7 weight rod is best, matched with a floating line. 9 foot leader is about right with 1 or 2 X tippet, 3 X if they are real spooky although you will get a lot of break offs.

Wet or dry fly?
Joelx415 4 years ago
Joel,
It is a dry fly so to speak. Black or dark purple chenille wrapper around soft panfish popper foam tied on top of a #4 hook. It floats right in the film like the real thing. You can see what the imitation looks like a couple minutes into the video when I am opening and closing my hand over both real and imititation mulberries.
