Some time lapse sequences fail, in fact many of them do. But in this case the result reminded me of the William Blake poem "The sick rose" A little atmospheric sound completes the picture.

the 'breathing' of the rose is to do with day and night lighting. Respiration and recovery. Sadly this flower didn't have enough reserves to finish flowering.
