Roe and Garry were the New Vaudeville of radio...lightning quick with gag after gag. Really, it was art.
It should be a clue that 3 folks, Bill Leff, a Second City alum of sorts, twisted deadpan newsguy Jim Johnson, and Christina the party animal traffic girl replaced Garry. Bill's kinda clever, but only Jim can actually keep up with Roe. Garry could not just keep up, but could anticipate where Roe would go or possibly go and take him there.

Roe Conn sucks without Garry Meier. Bill Leff totally sucks ass. I stopped listening to these goofs five years ago.

the roe show is awesome - love it all. it took a while to get used to after gary left, but the last year the show has really hit a stride (small blip when christina was gone for a while). classic chicago radio.
