Jesus Christ (Matthew 25:41, 46), John the Baptist (Matthew 3:12), Paul (2 Thessalonians 1:8, 9) and Jude (verse 7) all predicted that eternal fire, everlasting fire, and unquenchable fire, will eventually burn up all unsaved sinners to their everlasting destruction, just like Sodom and Gomorrah became ashes in a moment. And Sodom s holy judgment is set forth as an example (Jude 7) to us today.

There are hundreds of Bible verses teaching the same thing that the lost will burn up (Matthew 3:12), be destroyed (Psalms 37:38), and be no more (Psalms 37:10). Even Satan himself will become ashes on the earth (Ezekiel 28:19).

I believe God keeps Hell and Heaven hidden from humans while on Earth. So the sounds heard during the dig, in my opinion, were not the sounds of Hell. Probably of the earth's plates shifting. It does make a person think. I think the most realistic "hell sounds" I've heard are the sounds of patients screaming on a high security mental ward. I've spent time on a less secure ward, but we were right beside that ward. Some of the patients scream all night. It is awful.

there is no rest in hell, ever, the fire is eternal, you need to read a bit more about why hell exists. satan will live forever as well as every soul that the lord created, either in hell or heaven. we are eternal beings, also there is no time in outside this world so there would be no end to burning. Gods not just gonna say "youve had enough torture, go ahead and clock out and die so you can stop feeling so bad. Gods not in hell, its eternal seporation from him.
