you only hear the difference when you are NOT shooting in 1st person all the time or standing next to an explosion/stationary AA gun... the difference is in the dynamic range. in war tapes everything seems to be loud. in HiFi there is also some quiet.

@paulspydar ps has any one got a description of the sound through a 7.1 system?

through my 5.1 digital Sony surround amp the war tapes setting to me sounds much better to me, if I put it on Hi-FI or home theater there are plenty of sounds that are too quite and/or get drowned out by the more aggressive sounds, its a good option as it means I did not have to fiddle around with my set up for the game then have to reset it again for my music etc..

Wailey, what the fuck? Seriously?

You do know you changed all the sound during recording to whatever you saved the file as, therefore they are all the same..?

haha random
War tapes has a lower dynamic range meaning that everything from your tank blowing up to the wind blowing is pretty loud. Hi Fi is more of a dynamic range and certain things are quieter whereas others are not. Its much easier to pinpoint things in HiFi whereas in war tapes its a lot more action packed. Thumbs up so people can see.
