Jaymi Millard is playing a Bluesman Relic Bass on a track that Jeff Bradshaw (drums) and I (guitar) already laid tracks to. It's a song from an up-coming project we are recording. I'll not spoil the title at this time. The other tracks are yet to be recorded on the song. This is my studio at home, which is based around a ProTools HD3 system. We ran the bass straight into a basic ISA Focusrite Preamp. I added an optical tube compressor plug in from Smack, hitting about -3dB at most. Gary Forsythe, whom you see seated on the couch behind Jaymi, is my co-writer on the song (he's a co-writer on the lyric), and I (Pete Warren) wrote the music. I engineered it and produced it (or I am in process of doing so at the time this video was shot). It'll have a lot more going on by the time it's done. You're hearing it IN PROCESS on this video. The identity of the artist for whom the recording is being produced is yet to be revealed.
