  • love this video, save Alaska's Bristol Bay!

  • I risk my life sometimes,But I will never risk the life of our watershed.

  • how many open pit mines does it take to open our minds.

all for the "almighty dollar"? well, thats america for you

  • Chrjst, can't Alaskans understand that extractive industries are invariably temporary? Big as it is, no state's fisheries are beyond being wrecked by mines, clear cutters, dams, agricultural chemicals, and the like.

Take care of your state, Alaskans! Don't do what we've done in the Northwest here. And California.

It just can't always be about money.

  • Pebble is not closed, it's not even operational yet. They're getting ready to file for permits with AK & US. Northern Dynasty is a Canadian firm. Hopefully Canada wants the tailings (toxic waste) from the mining operation.

  • The Pebble Mine has closed down for now because of the economy.

  • 2:31 right when untitled by interpol comes on, unreal..'if youre a broke fisherman and you can see the beauty in everything, you've got a wonderful life'

  • The most inspiring movie.

  • Fuck that stupid pebble mine. I fish up there and my job's jeopardized. Fuck that. I'm from Astoria and we used to have massive runs of salmon before we fucked that up w/ logging and over fishing. Let's not fuck it up there too.

And for the people who say that commercial fishing doesn't cut it anymore, go fuck yourself. Tell the canneries to start paying us more, because they can, they just won't because they're greedy motherfuckers.

  • I wish that people would realize we don't have to do things like this. Its not always about money. that one person was right saying "Why do people feel as if they need to conquer and destroy everything?"

One day we won't have this amazing environment.

People argue that its about jobs and boosting the economy. ITS ALL ABOUT BANG AND BUST

people will receive jobs for about 10 years, and then what? no more precious metals to mine, the company made its millions, and that area is left destroyed.
