This Video Is About The STAR ECO Station Located in Culver City, CA, STAR ECO Station was established in 1997 as a division of STAR, Inc. (Sports Theater Art Recreation), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that has been dedicated to improving the quality of childrens education through academic and enrichment programming since 1986.

Working in collaboration with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and other government and environmental agencies, STAR ECO Station provides a last chance for illegal or abandoned exotic wildlife, as well as environmental education outreach programs in over 40 California school districts. Aligned with California State Standards for environmental education, STAR ECO Station provides assemblies, Gifted And Talented Education (GATE), classroom instruction and after school extended education, tours, exhibits and mobile rainforests to children, families and communities throughout the state.

Visitors to the STAR ECO Station experience incredible hands-on lessons of ecology and environmentalism through a breathtaking encounter with beautiful tropical birds, exotic reptiles, wildcats and ocean life in a jungle setting. Environmental partnerships enhance the Station with 15 discovery exhibits from organizations such as the World Wildlife Fund, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Surfrider and Santa Monica Baykeepers unique Storm Drain display and walk-thru Kelp Forest.

STAR ECO Station stands firm in our conviction that the signs of pollution and ongoing waste and misuse of our natural resources can be diminished if we are all in this mission together. It is through educating California communities on the benefits and necessity of environmentally mindful living that ECO aims to impact not only our Earth of today, but our Earth for generations to come. Preservation of our natural resources is the greatest gift we can give to our children and to our childrens children. If we align as one community under this mission to preserve wildlife habitats and educate our peers about environmental responsibility, STAR ECO believes that the impact will be great and the benefits to humanity immeasurable.
