I'm no expert and I havn't watched the 2nd part of the vid yet (this one) But I think if you encourage your dog to play tug of war with the knotted bit of the rope then it might be encouraged to pull the rope when attached to the f/handle.

i got my dog to do get the beer from the fridge but im not sure how to get the dog to pull the fridge open on its own. any other tips?
