Oarfish

A live oarfish... captured swimming near the surface of the ocean - is strange fish appears approximately 15-20 feet long and does not seem to be frightened by the SCUBA diver approaching it. Note the undulating dorsal fin and its near-translucent coloring. I believethis appearance is due to its silver reflective scale coloration.
