Most music can get me tapping my foot or nodding my head. It takes honest to God talent and legitimate musicianship to write songs that consistently evoke emotional responses without singing a word. This is incredible.

The harshly-clipped audio and lofi videography actually makes it better, in an inexplicable way. I suppose the sincerity of their music can outshine even the failings of technology!

This band has made the hairs on my arms raise and tingle since 1999. I was fortunate enough to know Chris when we were Chicago indie dorks, i split for Austin in 96. 1998 I meet Munaf and Michael, then come to find that they started a band with a guy I knew from Chicago. Still have the cassette demo and I still love this band. They have made some of the most gut wrenching musical mosaics I've ever had the good fortune to hear.
