bach cello suite prelude on electric guitar - seth maxwell

Bach's cello suite prelude is a classical favorite of mine. i lifted the tab from a web site a while ago and attempted to put it to an electric guitar...kinda messy and distorted...but oh well.

I think the electric guitar is closer in spirit to the baroque cello than the acoustic is. Most acoustic guitar versons of this are so sedated.

thanks! it's a nightswan. don't know much about it since i bought it used, but i think it was the first mass manufactured model of the custom kramer Eddie Van Halen spec'd. Dunno tho. I like the dots too! :) Cheers

why nobody in youtube has tried to play it on G !? Can anybody tell me? The fingering is capable of adaptation on guitar that's more difficult but that is the original version. But everybody plays this one on D =S . Anyway, good job man but turn the distortion off !!!!! cos in the open strings is such a mess

@guitarmusicboy I agree man...just looked it up to see what is out there. I play it straight off the cello sheet music.

He admits he got a TAB which means he got it from someone else who decided D was the right key...

The choice is based on classical guitar needing the high open E to drone on. I'll be posting it in G soon with tapping...
