A classic bit from 1972 about taking responsibility for your litter. And as we all know, it takes one rotten banana to spoil the bunch (or something to that degree).

  • I already done watched this, but it says I haven't.

  • The more views, the better!

  • So young, all of them. 0.0

  • Well, except Mr. Hooper.

  • And ironically, there's a "dumpster" right there behind them, but I'm sure Ernie and Bert wouldn't want to see garbage outside their window (even though from inside all they can see is nothing by sky for whatever reason, lol).

  • That's a fluke I can't imagine went by them. Especially int he 1990 bits where they have trees outside their window.

  • This teaches a good lesson: that even little bits of trash make a big mess.

  • Ah great old SS memories. The original cast were always the best! :)

  • I miss the good ol' days! The days when trash was simply trash. You didn't have to sort it, recycle it, WASH it, or anything else it, but throw it in the can. These days you need a PhD in garbology not to be considered a litterbug. :-/

  • How do we keep the streets clean in the first place? Hire more city workers and raise our taxes!

  • Oscars got a summer home now.

  • When I take a garbage bag to the dumpster, if the bag tears I just leave all the trash and mess right on the sidewalk. So I made a mess, no big deal.

  • I loved Mr Hooper...

  • @Smartboy8877 Anytime.

Thank you very much for all of that interesting information my friend!

  • Not Me was a transparent character who sometimes caused trouble but got away with it because the adults didn't understand. I remember one comic strip where the woman asks who highlighted her list, and all the kids say "Not Me", and not because they were denying having done it themselves.

Another user said Mr. Hooper was blaming Not Me, and I just responded that I knew what they meant.

I have heard of the Family Circus, but I am not sure what it has to do with this sketch. Care to explain?
