Wheel standing 1970 AMX - Eliminations and sparks flying

Round 1 of eliminations. Car was launched at a low 6200 RPM. Still a 1.38 60' time. Nothing more consistant than Advanced Clutches (see the web site). Veered off to the left too much. Let off the gas for the 1st time ever and came down with a big thunk. Shut the engine off just to make sure no oil pan damage (there was none). Sparks are crossmember hitting concrete. Slight bevel on leading edge of oil pan. If you ever want a killer engine, go to MACH Development (see their web page). NHRA Best Appearing @ 2006 Pacific SportsNationals (Fontana, CA). Now going to the shop for a back-half and 4-link to tame it down some. Hope you enjoyed the video's!

That's why I cut the ignition just to make sure I had full oil pressure & there wasn't a pool of oil behind me. Everything was OK

Holy shit was what I was saying as it looked like the guardrail was going to be under the car! That's why I suddenly got out of it. The perspective is much different from the drivers seat than where the camera is!
