I always think its funny when people say things like "This new Music is so much worse than the the old stuff".....Obviously If you take a period of say 30 years or so (Classic Rock for example) and compare it with a period of only 5 years or so (Modern music...) OF COURSE you're gonna get more great songs in the old category because great songs only come around every so often and the old category is a longer period of time.....so its just an unfair comparison.
