It is a functional CW key for the basic use of code, Im working on a key with square stock brass bars (key way stock) and some springs, cotter pins, etc! I know it will work fine, its a very easy thing to make, but i want it to look very good and last years! If someone looks at it and says "what company made that" Ill be happy! I need a very heavy base, or i tend to throw it around! Keep inventing things!!!! --... ...--

Very pleased to receive your comment. I was about flat broke and could not afford a key, but wanted badly to use one (had been using my J38 since the start), so... I BUILT IT! :-) It worked pretty good, I was so new to CW in this video, and it shows! HA HA!
Id like you to let me know when you post a video of YOUR key please, I would like to see that!
Ham Radio is the best hobby for building, experimenting and fun!
Best 73s!

this is what sets hams above the rest! the ability to adapt and overcome! If you were out on a job (ARES) and your key broke or the mic lever busted, the ham would make it work!! My playing is on hold for a while, Im having real life issues to deal with! I wish i could just bury my head in the radio to relax! Ill be sure to send you some pics, im not good at videos. 73!
