World and Olympic champion Jeremy Wariner put young pretender LaShawn Merritt in his place in an excellent 400 meters. Merritt has been pushing his fellow American all season and ran strongly to lead off the final bend. Wariner, however, continued with his smooth, fluid stride while the big 21-year-old a lane inside him tightened up over the final 30 meters. (WCSN, WCSN.com)

Carol Lewis made NO SENSE at all. " I dont think Wariner is used to this...Usually he is either right next to someone or someone is a little ahead of him coming off of the turn." WTF is she talking about. He isn't used to someone being with him off the turn yes but usually he is in the lead coming off the turn. OMFG please someone fire her from commentaating.
