Writing short stories is not easy. The reason it isn't easy is because they are short. The writer is still charged with producing living characters who have personalities: good, bad, or milksop. Add to that a dynamic narrative that gives you, the reader, an opportunity to see, hear, feel, smell, and taste what the folks who inhabit those little stories do, and the authors have a demanding job on their hands. Short stories are a great deal more than sitting on an old apple crate and hammering away at the QWERTY.

  • I'm delighted to see "Twisted Tails" in the video trailer format. It captures the concept of the anthology: there's something for everyone in this series and I hope everyone enjoys the trailer as well as the stunning variety waiting for our readers in "Twisted Tails."

  • I loved writing short stories for this book! My three short stories - "Witches' Season", "Tiger in the Plum Blossoms", and "Return to Roswell" - are all very different from each other. "Witches' Season" is set in the time period of the witch burnings, "Tiger in the Plum Blossoms" takes place in the early llth century Japanese Heian Period, and "Return to Roswell" is set in modern day Roswell, New Mexico, complete with space aliens. :)
