Yeah finally someone who understands what Jeet Kune Do is - pisses me off when I see these "jeet kune do" schools - Bruce needs to come back to life and kick some ass.
lol thanks man I was trying to explain to that idiot "Desconhecido" that JKD isn't wing chun. Yeah dude it's pretty pointless to make a JKD dojo, the only thing those schools should do is teach the philosophy of JKD, give guidance on what techniques suit you best, and just let them figure out their own way of fighting through trial and error. That's how the late and great Mr. Lee learned how to fight.
Bruce Lee's base was wing chun, he saw it had many flaws, impracticalities, and decided to create his own method and philosophy that would teach people to fight effectively, according to what suits them and the situation, and to think without boundaries. That's where the whole "Be Like Water" thing came from. So as you can see, JKD didn't come from wing chun, it came from Lee noticing what was wrong with it. It could've been almost any formal martial art with patterns and molds.
