    What do you mean he didn't have all the training they had? He trained 10+ sessions a week for years to be as good as he was in his first career. He didn't have the technology would be more accurate. He stills holds the 400m free world record technically, it hasn't been broken without a supersuit.

    its almost impossible to do a comeback in the time thorpe gave himself.. he wasnt even close to how fit guys are now.... back in these times he didnt have all the training they had yet they struggled to beat him.. thorpe is my god and always will be

    swimmers like biedermann phelps and lochte don't have much of a choice. they have loping strokes, and to improve a loping stroke you have to pick and commit to one side.
