Transformer explodes in my back garden!

12:15am, Friday night: There I was, happily watching the Kings of Leon perform their set at Glastonbury on television, when I suddenly heard what sounded like an impromptu fireworks display outside my window.

Why do they explode at the least expected times? Really! Think, most explode when on fire or to much rain held inside of it, (like on July 4, 2009, and, yes, on that date inside Stafford County, VA. But, unfortunately, I had a broken camera at home, and I was only nine in the year. Didn't have an iPod Touch 4G yet.) or they overload and turn to fried potatoes. But, most likely, it overloaded, and exploded. But what transformer would overload at 12:15 AM?!
