This Computer Graphics Film won one of the prestigious "Film and Video Awards Show" slots at SIGGRAPH '90. Only 10 films were picked for this top-most prize from hundreds of competing films from all over the world and by major companies, top film producers, and established animation studios such as Lucas Film, Industrial Light & Magic, & Disney, also top Madison Ave companies (commercials), and top university computer graphics departments. This is the highest achievement a computer graphics film can hope for in any given year as it is entirely peer-judged and awarded. It is my hope that the soundtrack I composed symbiotically enhanced the film. This was the opinion of many people at the convention that year.

I am available for further soundtrack work for films. At the moment, I will work free of charge if I find the project to be of particular interest. Otherwise a small commission will be required. Contact:

  • Yeah this was incredible. Brings back memories...

  • @valkiriforce Thank you VERY MUCH! I appreciate your comment! Barely anyone has noticed this video. Again, thank you!

  • I'm purely amazed. I remember watching this when I was little (about two years old and beyond.)

Thank you a million times for posting this. o___o

  • @Ainurah Thank you VERY VERY MUCH for saying this! Clearly I'm a little older than you -- I'm 45. Nevertheless, I am extremely happy that you enjoyed it -- and hopefully the backing soundtrack I composed. I wrote the soundtrack for both this & "Under The Puddle" -- both of which won the "top-ten CGI Films awards" that year (in Dallas). I had but a week to compose this! I think it went well with the visuals. I'd love to hear anyone's criticisms! :-)

Thank you VERY VERY Much again!

    -- Daniel

  • @FrumiousFalafel - Yes, I enjoy(ed) the music as much as I do the animation. ^_^

It's very calm and soothing, but rather whimsical too. :)

Years ago, when I was about two, my dad brought home some videos of CGI. I remember this exact bit was at the end of one of them, and it was always my favorite part.
