As for the Tennessee comeback, I was there(crying at the end) and it was Les Miles' 1st SEC game and the whole game plan for the 2nd half was to run the ball to run the clock. Including the hail mary at the end we threw the ball 3 times after halftime. It wasn't about players it was about poor coaching descisions.
See I'm the same way, just opposite. I wasn't and still aren't criticizing the staff because sometimes they just happen. I'm sure Prothro wanted to be in at that point. I know it's not HIS choice, but nearly all football staffs keep starters in waaaaaay too long. Saban does the same thing. The only reason he isn't criticized by you is because he hasn't lost a star player.
Bsaint91 and TexasMade 20... I stand corrected regarding the Prothro injury... thought it happened on the landing... had forgotten about the Florida player falling on his leg causing the break. You two were right. I stil lthink it's unfortunate though because, had Prothro not been hurt on that play, it would not have been a big deal. However, the injury occurred and the rest is history.
Do you realize that MRSA and other infections are most common IN hospitals? For the obvious reasons... yes, it's negligence and, hence, you have medical malpractice cases. As for Tennessee... unless I'm mistaken, they made up ground in predominantly the fourth quarter, not the entire second half. Unless you know the exact time frame of their comeback.
Prothro.. what could of been...

Built 80% of offense around Prothro.....not smart
to start with;but even WORSE when there was
no "plan b"!
Fate has smiled on the Tide lately and that's a
relief to Tide fans everywhere!
