Platinum Part 2 - "Platinum"

I play the lead guitar section of Part 2 of Mike Oldfield's Platinum. A couple mistakes in the middle of it but this is after like the 20th time trying to record it right so sue me for making mistakes. I'm only human. :D

@9358412 Yeah, it is me. I'm also a huge Mike Oldfield fan and would never claim to play something I'm not. My attention to detail is simply very obsessive :). You can even hear a mistakes I make at 2:57 and 5:15. And you can hear me improvising things that Mike doesn't play at 3:37. Not to mention the power chord section I play at 4:40 that isn't in the original.

So awesome that you emulate Mike's picking technique! There are other versions of this on youtube, but this is the best I've seen so far!

If you just scribbled down a bit of tabs... Maybe just for the intro.. I would be the happiest man on earth.

I did pick it up entirely by ear. I'll see about uploading a tab, though. No promises. There are a lot of good tabs out there already though.

You have a very interesting way to pick...heh, are you just using your finger tips then? Or dod you use your nails? Later dude ^^

I use my fingernails. It's a lot easier. Like having 5 picks :).

@9358412 This is not Mike Oldfield. Listen to the distortion and slighly off tune notes here and there. It's a great, great, fabulous cover, but not Mike. Great job, though.
