I was more heartbroken over the poor commercial performance of this film than I can say. This was the perfect launching point for a new (and very welcome) franchise for Disney or whoever took it on. I'm so sorry that it took 100 years to get it to the screen, only to come undone the way that it did. I don't guess there'll be another shot at an adaptation of it in my lifetime, anyway. Oh well, back to "Princess of Mars" I go, and imagine what might have been.
