How can you say this! How can you criticize Israel as "not willing to negotiate" when the very people they are negotiating with (Hamas) refuses to recognize their right to exist? How can you make peace with a partner who has vowed to destroy you? Answer that, will you? Stop quoting UN propositions about territory disputes and focus on the basics: Land for peace means exactly that. PEACE. It's a two-way street. There has to be the promise of security.

Obama is no different than other candidates on this issue. Blatantly pro-Israel, anti-palestinian and anti-human rights and justice for refugees.
Obama's a fraud.

I will not go for 2 states resolution, simply because 'Israel' has no right to the land!

Only when Barack speaks about Israel, it seems that he's insecure. There has to be a change. Also the Israelis and the Palestinians need to hear the truth. They'll listen to you, like everybody else. ;-)

You can love your country and still be critical about the things that are wrong and need fixing.
Unfortunately, the issue of Israel is one of those hot button issues that you cannot differ from the mainstream if you are running for President.
Every right-wing nut is trying to label Obama as anti-Israel and pro-Muslim. John McCain is trying to link Obama to Hamas!
So for the time being, all candidates and Presidents must adhere to the status quo. Hopefully, Obama can find a lasting solution.

Obama - another apartheid candidate. If Obama supports a Jewish state does that mean he would also support a white state? A muslin state? Why does this man deserve our support, again?
-
Of course. Why is this so hard for some people?
There are only two ways this can end: 1 state or 2 states. 2 states requires dialog and negotiation. 1 state requires the annihilation of one side or the other. Right now, we're on the 1 state track.

When Obama speaks, people listen.
I can only hope that the good people of Israel are willing to listen to Obama - because if they want a better future for their people, then they too must be willing to change.
Obama '08
Change that will benefit us all.
Sen Obama, if we keep on waiting for a Palestinian government that is acceptable for the Israelis to negotiate with, we're never going to have a solution. The US has never taken the initiative because it has waited to resolve the issue on Israel's terms, which is essentially going to be never. Israel refuses to negotiate while it continues to build settlements and encroach on Palestinian territory contrary to international law (UN 242) yet insists that the Palestinians are the obstacle to peace?

Obama will not deliver change on this issue. the only way for Palestinians to achieve their independence is the way how Americans achieved their own independence: fight!
