Sara talks about how she wrote most of the songs for The Con while sitting in the closet of her new house in her socks and underwear because it was so hot and she had bought a house without air conditioning. About the socks and underwear: "And NO ONE would find that attractive, not even the people who were SUPPOSED to find it attractive, because believe me, there was someone who was SUPPOSED to find it attractive, and they TOLD me it wasn't attractive!"
Tegan: What I want to know is, if it was so hot, why were you wearing socks??

Sara also talks about buying her new house and how her grandfather came to visit her and that she knew he was proud of her, but also critical:
"'You got underground parking in this place?'
'Uh, no, grandpa.'
'Can't believe you got a place without underground parking. You got air conditioning in this place?'
'Uh, no...'
'Can't believe you bought a place without air conditioning. No good, this place. Not even going to be able to sell it.'"
...
Sara: "But now it's winter and it's perfect, and people are like, gosh, it's warm in here, do you have a fireplace? And I'm like, no, the heat's not even on!"
Tegan: "I can't believe you bought a place without a fireplace."
Sara: "Now that was funny." *High fives*
