Camp Rock: The Second Summer: Chapter 1

Everyone is the same character they were in Camp Rock!

Chapter 1:

Mitchie's year was just about the same as every other. But, this year, she dressed more confidently. Yeah, she wore those short shorts, and she rocked them. She still had the same 1 friend, Sierra, but she was just fine with that. She knew she could rely on her. She kept in contact with Caitlyn, Peggy, and Ella. Even Tess messaged her once, but only to brag about how she was opening for her mom's tour. Mitchie chose to do a good deed and congratulate her. It was still pretty cool, though, she had to admit.
Shane kinda disappeared a bit, but she did attend a Connect 3 concert, and she was pretty sure he saw her. Apparently, Shane had asked Caitlyn for Mitchie's email address, but Caitlyn had said no. She was still bugged about him yelling at her. Shane asked Ella and Peggy as well, and they had done the same. He didn't even bother asking Tess. But, he always heard Mitchie's voice in his head, and whenever he went into popstar mode, he could hear her saying, "Shane, remember, 'This is real, this is me.' Don't act this way." And he listened. Anyways, back to Mitchie.
Her mom was trying to persuade Brown to let Mitchie come back, just like last year, but Brown wasn't sure it was the best idea. It was the last day of school, and Mitchie was running out of time.

"Mom? Did he say yes, yet?" Mitchie said anxiously.
"No. I am going to call him though. Wait here. Maybe you could talk to him."Connie Torres, Mitchie's mother replied.
"Okay," Mitchie sat at the table and waited.
Connie dialed Brown's number and sat and tapped her fingers. She looked up at Mitchie who was picking at her nail polish, which she only did when she was nervous. Connie didn't want to break her heart, so she knew she really had to persuade him.
"'Ello?" Brown asked.
"Hi. This is Connie...again..." Connie said.
"What? I told you to call back later."
"Well, you see, Mitchie has been waiting all year to return, and I don't see why she can't. I could cater again. All of the kids like my food. And, Mitchie can help out too." Connie said.
"Well...the real reason is that I can't discount your price as much as I did last year..." Brown said slowly.
"Well how much will it cost. Maybe I can talk to my husband."
"Well, last year, it was $300 for Mitchie. Now it has gone up to $600."
"Wow..."
"Yes. I don't know why it has been raised. It is still $1000 for your average camper." Brown stated.
"Well...I had good business this year...we could probably manage it."
"That's great! I hope to see Mitchie and her talent at Camp Rock this year! And by the way, could you tell her that Shane is coming back again?" Brown replied.
"Yes, I will tell her. And I will get back to you as soon as possible about the price." Connie said.
"Okay. Goodbye, Connie."
"Goodbye!" They hung up.

Mitchie says, "SO? Whats going on?
"Well, here's the problem. Your price last year was $300. Now it is $600." Connie states.
"So...I can't go..." Mitchie says sadly.
"I didn't say that. I will talk to your father. We had good business this year. We might be able to manage it. But don't get your hopes up too high."
"OKAY! I gotta go to school! Bye Mom! I love you!" Mitchie says excitedly.
"Wait, there's something else." Connie yells.
"What?"
"Shane is coming back this summer." Connie says.
Mitchie just stands there, gaping at her mother. Then she closes her mouth and gets on her knees and puts on a puppy dog face.
"PLEASE MOM!!! PLEASE PAY THAT EXTRA 300 BUCKS!! I NEED TO GO!!! PLEASE!!" Mitchie begs.
"Honey, get up. You're gonna ruin your jeans. I have to mop the floors." Connie scolds.
"Fine. Bye Mother." Mitchie grunts.
"Bye honey! I love you too!" Connie calls after her daughter as she runs to school.
