cool man! you want to use the best turntable with the best speakers, I assume your ION has a built in preamp. Does either of your stereo's have a "phone input" on the back if not you may want to get a receiver with one it will make the sound better. Short term buy some monster speaker cables and RCA cables it will be the least expensive way to improve your sound on your setup!

@Crimsonphilosophy hey man thanks! my larger turntable from the 70s or 80s has a phone input but i wouldn't know what to do with it :P I'm just happier buying records than cps and better off buying than downloading, especially since the sound quality is better :P
