  • i am the working poor. i work in a call center. i work 56 hours a week. i WORK. I TAKE CARE OF YOU. do not down the people that serve your food, that pump your gas, that bag your groceries....we do what we have to do....

  • Who's surprised?

In the U.S., wealth is highly concentrated in a relatively few hands. The top 1% of households (the upper class) owned 33.4% of all privately held wealth, and the next 19% (the managerial, professional, and small business stratum) had 51%, which means that just 20% of the people owned a remarkable 84%, leaving only 16% of the wealth for the bottom 80% (wage and salary workers).

The minimum wage is a joke.

  • @Xcesschick

I'm not working poor, but I try to do some of these things on your list. It saves money and then I can save more

  • Here in California I recently tried to apply for food stamps. . . But I wasn't eligible because you have to make 350 dollars a month or less to be eligible, but STILL have a roof over your head. How is this possible? How can a person make 350 dollars or less a month, and still pay rent, and for food, and utilities? The system doesn't work.

If these people had to start out at the bottom, with nothing, they'd be the working poor too.

  • Income discrepancy isn't really a bad thing, some workers are just a lot more valuable than others. The top 20% deserve to make a whole lot more than the bottom 80%. But no full-time worker should be going without food, medical care or rent for a room.

No, Americans, a car, cellphone and fastfood are not necessities.

  • @4freespeech Only way the working poor would benfit without getting a income tax return would be to raise minimum wage at the same time.

  • The NUMBER ONE THING to help all working people in the U.S. would be to

ABOLISH THE FEDERAL RESERVE & the PERSONAL INCOME TAX.

The Federal Reserve banking system in this country KEEPS OUR MONEY

    PERPETUALLY DEBT-RIDDEN.

100% of income tax paid by workers in the U.S. goes to PAY WHAT?

Not schools, cops, firemen, bridges, roads, hospitals...NO.

IT GOES TO THE FEDERAL RESERVE TO PAY INTEREST ON DEBT!

    That's right. Check it out.

We've been ROBBED BLIND since 1913, and we're being ROBBED NOW.

  • That lady at the end said tax the rich.Yea, because if the rich make less money they will be closer to being poor.Great thinking, she must work as a cook or some other menial bullshit.

    WEALTH ENVY

  • Let's start by cannibalizing the rich.

  • "Let's start with legalizing marijuana" hahah

  • Some good comments here.. Ecochamber especially knows the truth.

The US paper currency is artificially inflated by private bankers whose wealth already controls America.. it's politics and economy.

Obama is a puppet. A fake. A distraction.

That's why Obama will NOT legalize marijuana, as suggested in the video. Anything that Actually helps the economy or people medically is not allowed federally.

The "next 19%" are about to join the other "80%" Middle class america will be destroyed.

  • "let's start with legalizing marihuana" <-- LOL
