It's no longer just about the women these days...There are a like number of men who act the same way...Namely resembling irresponsible teenagers that want to go where they want, do whatever they please, and expect those around them to take up all the emotional and financial slack...Wanting an extension of life when they still resided with their parents...
Sloth has no gender preference...

If a woman was into building model cars and playing video games all the time and basketball, none of you guys would want them as a girlfriend. Girls have to be girly ie boring in order for men to like them. It's mens fault women are like that.

@GrandmotherAbuser Chill out man, not all females are like that. :)
I know most women ARE bitches however there are always exceptions...

Never in my life have I ever seem a country where women get so many benefits, some single mothers do deserve the help but them we have the GOLD DIGGERS, women run the house not the country.

@durtygrrrl I'd no idea what the slang Hoss meant. I simply took the highest definition in urban dictionary. If I called you a snarg-fwalss (you gotta freakin problem with that?! lol) & you found the definition to be the same as I found for Hoss (but female) you'd wonder. I'd agree the data thing BUT it can be misused (see link for "light" example. BTW I'm not saying RockingMrE is 100% correct)

It's often down to what people feel is "relevant" rather than "true".

@TableWolfMusic That's one definition-good on you for using the Google, though. Neutral slang for a man of any description. You're reading into it too much. As far as data being needed- data is always needed if you're making a statement of fact and not just belief. You cite your sources, otherwise all you've got to back yourself up with is opinion & experience. The plural of anecdote is not data. Seemed like you were making a scientific observation, so I addressed it as such.

@durtygrrrl Ok I just had to google "Hoss" n the urban dictionary website. I'm in Britain BTW so I didn't understand at first.
"one who is a beast that can basically do anything he wants. He is usually loved by all and a ladies man. He could break anyone or anything in half. Hoss is a compliment."
.
It seems hoss is a stereotype albeit a positive discrimination. I dont know how to react to the ladies man bit. I dont consider it an achievement for either gender: Bit untrustworthy.

@durtygrrrl Ok You don't prefer your husband to be the decisive one. I'm not sure if you could say that anybody's experiences are of anecdotal insufficient sample size. What I mean is that it sounds a bit like saying "everybody". Like "Are men expected physically to protect women?" Yes. &no data needed. Yet even though applies to the video, it isn't all that relevant to my reply to you here. I don't know what "hoss" means? Does it carry any positive, negative or neutral connotations?

@TableWolfMusic I re-read my comment from last year, and I'm not sure how I gave the impression that I prefer my husband to be decisive. Honestly, I don't believe that to be the case. As far as the average woman's preferences go, I can't say. My own experiences, like anyone else's, are anectotal, of insufficient sample size and randomization, and subject to bias. Honest enough for you, hoss?
It's amazing how many women will defend their gender to the death, always blaming the guys. It's just not possible, according to them, that an epidemic of materialism and jumbled priorities, could be having an effect on women in general, and that it is possibly a phenomenon that is nation-specific, namely, happening in the US, and not necessarily everywhere else in the world. And I think this last part particularly grinds on women's nerves, and it should, because they are victims of it too.

@MeredithOD You misconstrue justified or righteous indignation for unfounded or blanket anger. I wouldn't expect a Feminist apologist to see anything wrong with the injustice men constantly face in the Western world, especially with regard to marriage, no fault divorces, etc. Even if you don't consider yourself a Feminist, women still benefit from the slanted system which favors them. It's no surprise then that you are pro-marriage; you have nothing to lose and much to gain from it.
