  • first mistake was being born in Oklahoma, from there would did the dude expect?

  • @dayto18

That is because Eric Church is trying to be the new Steve, but failing. He has nowhere near the songwriting talent. Steve light.

  • @porterhouse Like he singer of the said song gives a flying fuck after seing the Americian dollar. Time to get with the fecking programme do you reckon so Huck, meanwhile back on planet earth.

  • @barrj2007 You must have missed the line that reads "I'm not about to say I don't deserve to die." This song is about the experience of a death row inmate and capital punishment and nowhere implies there shouldn't be prisons. The song is intended to present an alternate viewpoint on the issue and get people to think- in some cases getting people to think is far too much to ask.

  • WoW, never knew there was an official vid of this!! and is it just me or does this sound even more haunting than off the record? I hear a ton of extra atmosphere & it seems a smidge slower ... hmm, 'nother thing to go check :)

  • dale where u at ?

  • Awesome song :)

  • @barrj2007 youre simply taking the lyrics the wrong way man.

  • gotta love this song, i have a deep respect for Steve Earle

  • his songs have gotten me through the heartbrek of two divorces but i have sadly followed his foot steps of addiction that has wasted the better part of my life and now here i am twenty years later white knuckle sober wondering which direction to run.
